Wednesday JOTW - Super Jump

Check out today’s Jump of the Week (JOTW). Is there any way this can be real? Leave a comment with your opinion…I have no idea.

[Every Wednesday LotusJump highlights a Jump of the Week (JOTW). It can be any kind of jump (over tall things, in search engine rankings, through hoops of fire, whatever). Submit your favorite Jump via comment and we'll consider it for future Wednesday JOTW's!]

Today’s tip comes to us from Jay Berkowitz, CEO of Ten Golden Rules:

Create something of value and available for free on your site.  Whether it is a free brochure, a free eNewsletter, a free white paper… be creative!  People like free stuff!  Providing something of value for your customers will foster trust and loyalty and next time they need a service you provide, they’ll think of you!  Once you have fostered their trust, you can ask their permission to send a free eNewsletter or more special offers in the future.  Newsletters can include articles about your industry, profile your expertise, and provide case studies and client testimonials.  Newsletters allow you to stay top of mind with current customers and prospects and gives them a ‘send-to-a-friend’ feature to forward your information.

From an SEO perspective, make sure you add any articles published in your newsletters to your website so the articles get picked up by the search engines!

Monday News - Suggest A Resource

raised-hands

While we’re adding new SEO resources to LotusJump on a regular basis, we thought it would be cool to let the collective wisdom of our users improve the value of this tool. As such, we added a way for LotusJumpers to suggest SEO resources via a simple form within the application. Current users will notice the “Suggest A Resource” text link inside their accounts. We’ve already received some great stuff…keep it coming!

Friday Spotlight: Align.org

rolfer

Today we’re spotlighting the LotusJumper Align.org, a certified advanced rolfer. (FYI: Rolfing releases the varied forms of chronic stress, and its negative effects on your body, by restoring order to the structure of your body.)

Inspiration behind Align.org:

I first went through the process of Rolfing in 1977. After that I had to learn it, so I did. As they say, the rest is history.

Achievement Align.org is most proud of:

We continue to lead our field. We did the first research on Rolfing and sports, we had the first Rolfing/medical clinic in the county, and we are number one on Google for Rolfing – thanks in part to LotusJump.

Why Internet marketing is important for Align.org:

We get clients beyond our local community.

Align.org’s Creative Marketing Tip of the Day:

Back up your marketing with good service because ultimately the best marketing is our clients.

Leave a comment if you think you’re worthy of a Friday spotlight, and tell us why!

Remember the priority list:

  1. Family
  2. Friends
  3. Internet Marketing with LotusJump
  4. Etc.

Just kidding, sorta. Be safe, and excellent to each other.

Wednesday JOTW - Backflip Into Jeans

Today’s BRILLIANT Tuesday Tip comes to us from Ryan Merket, CEO and Co-founder of Workstir.com. Read it, it’s awesome:

Be creative and brainstorm ways in which you can get your product in front of a large amount of eyes.  The more buzz you can generate about your company, website, service, etc. the more success you’ll see.

Take Workstir for example, just a few weeks ago Workstir invaded AdamsBlock.com (a live web cam on what is dubbed as the “worst neighborhood in San Francisco” which has hundreds of people watching at any given time) and sidewalk chalked the intersection that the camera was pointed on with Workstir.com.

Ryan said, “The results were magnificent. We had a record setting traffic day, and we still see traffic from people watching the clip.”

We’re excited to announce that we’ve added an awesome new feature to LotusJump for all it’s registered users…the Q&A task! Here’s a  little info taken from the How It Works page:

Q&A Tasks tasks - New!
Yahoo! Answers is a free service where people can ask and answer questions on virtually any subject. When someone on Yahoo! Answers asks a question that’s relevant to one of your targeted keywords, LotusJump will automatically create a task in your account to visit that page and share your knowledge. This gives you the opportunity to 1) establish yourself an an authority on a given subject and 2) direct people to other helpful resources, like your website (if applicable).

We’re pretty stoked about this feature…feel free to send us feedback via comment, email or Twitter!

Technorati Profile

crestwood

Today we’re spotlighting the LotusJumper Crestwood Painting, a Kansas City company that specializes in preserving and enhancing the charm of older homes.

We asked Crestwood Painting what the inspiration was behind their company, this is what they had to say:

There weren’t any painting contractors in my area that appeared to be professional and well-run. The semi-respectable painter I finally hired fouled things up so badly that I some competition was in order. So I started an internet marketing campaign, hunted for customers and then hired a crew.

When asked what achievement they were most proud of, Crestwood Painting said:

Handling my company’s SEO & SEM functions myself. It’s not technically difficult and allows me to keep my total marketing cost very low.

We asked Crestwood Painting why Internet marketing is so important for their company, this is what they had to say:

Internet marketing is essential. Effectively done, it will steer potential customers to your site and away from your competitors. Once found, a web site that educates and informs potential customers will build trust. That’s when a business relationship can start.LotusJump allows me to perform internet marketing on my timetable. This is essential for any small business person who already has too many demands on their time.

We gave Crestwood Painting a chance to give a “Creative Marketing Tip of the Day”, this is what they said:

Separate landing pages for each market niche or keyword can be very effective in converting clicks to calls.

Thursday LJ Tip - Time management

I’ve found that setting aside a certain amount of time per day (or week) to complete tasks builds an effective habit. There’s a LotusJump task for any amount of budgeted time.

- If you don’t have an hour to do tasks, try filtering by Buzz tasks, and knock out a few quick ones while you’re waiting for your frozen burrito to heat up.

- If you’ve got a half hour, check out where your competitors are getting links with the Competitive Backlink tasks and try to match them!

- If you’ve got even more time on your hands, build some quality content or publish something interesting with a Content Building task.

Get your creative juices flowing and linkbuilding SEO with LotusJump can be fun and efficient.
